Knowledge and Janna. العلم و جنة.
This should be our goal in life, “I want to go to Jannah (Paradise ).” It should be written in bold letters on our foreheads so that it serves a constant reminder for us. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) has left with us a very small key to Jannah, which we muslims today have become oblivious of. Just like you need a key to open your car’s door, or hous door, or office door;...

Isti'adh. استعاذ.
Isti`adhah means, “I seek refuge with Allah from the cursed Satan so that he is prevented from affecting my religious or worldly affairs, or hindering me from adhering to what I was commanded, or luring me into what I was prohibited from.” Indeed, only Allah is able to prevent the evil of Satan from touching the son of Adam. This is why Allah allowed us to be lenient and kind with the...

O You People of Khazraj!
Al ‘Abbas Ibn ‘Abdul-Muttalib said,
“O you people of the Khazraj - The Arabs used to call the Ansar (Helpers) Khazraj, whether from Khazraj or Aws - all of you know the position that Muhammed holds among us. We have protected him from our people as much as we could. He is honored and respected among his people. He refuses to join any party except you. So, if you think you can...

Hayaa.
Firstly, to talk about the types of Good hayaa.
For example, anyone who is a believer, he/she should build their personalities and their character with the good dimensions of hayaa. The most important is that he/she must be shy of doing ANYTHING displeasing to Allaah, with the belief that he/she will have to answer to all their deeds. If one develops a sense such as this one, it will help the...

‘Abdullah Ibn al-Mubarak: ‘I was in Makkah when the people were afflicted with a drought. So they all came out to Masjid al-Haram for Istisqaa’ (prayer for rain) but they were not granted rain, and to my side was a black slave.
He said, ‘O Allah, O Allah. They have surely called You but You did…

Muhammed (صلي الله عليه وسلم).
The Prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم), on his part, would always maintain and sustain his followers’ souls with the light of Belief, purify them through implanting Qur’anic wisdom in their hearts, and cultivate their minds deeply with the spirit of islam that would elevate them to a state of noble spirituality, pure heartedness and an absolute degree of freedom from materialism, a high...

Shouting the Truth.
The Prophet’s voice kept reverberating in Makkah until the following verse was revealed:
“Therefore proclaim openly, that which you are commanded, and turn away from the Al-Mushrikun (polytheists).” (15:94)
Then Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) began to proclaim the invitation to Islam at the gatherings and assemblies of the idolaters.
He would recite from Allah’s...
Greeting Young Children.
This is to encourage and train children from a very young age to apply Islamic manners, Anas Ibn Malik (RA) reported that when he used to walk with the Prophet (PBUH) and when they would pass by a group of children, the Prophet (PBUH) would extend greetings of peace to them. [Bukhaaree (6284) and Muslim (2168)] By greeting children one not only trains them to follow Islamic manners, but one also...

Crying When Listening to or Reciting the Qur'an.
Crying when both listening to and reciting the Qur’an is related in the Sunnah. As to the latter, ‘Abdullah Ibn Ash-Shukkhair (رضى االه عنه) said, “I went to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) when he was praying, and from his breast emerged a crying sound like the sound of a container in which water was boiling.” [1] And in the same context, ‘Abdullah Ibn Sahaddaad...
